Forgiveness For Your Sins

Much of my work I create personally is a social commentary of how I view the world around me, with this particular piece being no exception. Many people all over the world view church as the go to place to be forgiven; e.g., sin is committed, violator runs to church, church accepts money, and essentially sin is forgiven. I believe this endless loop is an untold truth that many would shy away from. I chose to put my character in a Popes hat because the Catholic Church is the most recognizable church on earth. The characters hat is a gumball machine: coin goes in hat, knob turns, and pills come out to be consumed and all seven sins are forgiven. I chose pills because they represent convince and availability. Nothing like enjoying the benefits of forgiveness on demand like a gum ball machine at your local grocery store....
